Apolinario Mabini y Maranan (1864-1903), Filipino political philosopher and revolutionary who served as its first prime minister from January until May 1899. 

Barasoain Church in Malolos City, Bulacan. Having earned the title as the Cradle of Democracy in the East, the most important religious building in the Philippines, and the site of the First Philippine Republic. The church was built in 1630.

Jose Protacio Rizal (1861-1896), Filipino nationalist and reformist. He is considered one of the national heroes of the Philippines. Studying in Europe, he was the most prominent advocate for reform in the Philippines during Spanish colonial era. Rizal was wrongly implicated as the leader of Katipunan Revolution, and that led to his execution on December 30, 1896. 

 Philippine Declaration of Independence on June 12, 1898 in Cavite at the ancestral home of General Emilio Agunaldo. The event saw the unfurling of the National Flag of the Philippines as depicted on the banknote.
